Governor Monday Okpebholo and top Edo state government officials on Thursday visited the Uchegbu family residence in Benin to express their condolences on the passing of Mr. Kingsley Uchegbu.
Mr. Kingsley Uchegbu, a dedicated staff member of Independent Television (ITV) Benin and the Edo State Government House Correspondent, passed away on Wednesday, 7th May, in Benin.
Hon. Yakubu Musa, representing Governor Okpebholo, along with Prince Kassim Afegbua and Hon. Kenneth Ihensekhien, conveyed their sympathies.
Prince Kassim Afegbua offered prayers and assured the family of the state government’s support during this difficult time.
He remembered Kingsley Uchegbu as a hardworking, dedicated correspondent and a true gentleman, whose absence will be felt by the entire media community.
Prince Kassim Afegbua emphasized Uchegbu’s professionalism and unwavering commitment to work.
Members of the government house press crew led by Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Patrick Ebojele, were also on the governor’s delegation during the visit.
Late Kingsley Uchegbu is survived by his wife and four children.
