Team IUO’s exceptional performance earned them the Grand Prize in the Network Track Category, solidifying their position as the region’s top team.

The team’s triumph over competitors from across Sub Saharan Africa has secured their place in the Huawei ICT Global Final, to be held in China.
Representing Nigeria, Team IUO will compete against elite teams from around the world in the Network Track Category.
The team will travel to China to compete in the Global Final against Regional Grand Prize winners and top regional qualifiers from Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, and other African regions. The Network Track typically evaluates expertise in communication networks, routing, switching, security, and emerging technologies such as 5G and cloud integration.
This achievement is particularly noteworthy as Igbinedion University is the only private university from Nigeria to reach this prestigious global stage, demonstrating the high caliber of its students and faculty.
