
The President of Benson Idahosa University Co-Operative Society,Prof. Sunday Ugbogbo on Monday stated that 70 Cooperators received deed of transfer of 50 by 100 parcel of Land at Ogua and a second batch of over 50 beneficiaries will receive theirs in November 2025 after loan repayment.
This was disclosed to newsmen in Benin by President of Benson Idahosa University Co-Operative Society,Prof.Sunday Ugbogbo, who
congratulated members of staff over the presentation of Deeds of Transfer to the successful landowners.
The presentation ceremony at the institution took place in Benin.
In his address, Ugbogbo said ,”I want to join the exco-members of this our co-operative to appreciate God for His faithfulness in the new reality we are witnessing today. We praise Him and give Him all the glory.
“We are here today to present the Deeds of Transfer to the successful landowners of our Co-operative Land Acquisition Scheme-Phase I, after completing their payments at the end of May 2025.’
“The phase II will be coming up in November this year.The journey for acquiring the lands for our members started exactly 3 years ago. This is a great turning point for our members as we are celebrating ourselves in becoming landowners and by the grace of God and ultimately landlords in a few years from now. We have already put in place an internal mechanism for speeding up the land development. God has been faithful to us. “
Continuing, the excited President of the University’s Co-operative Society stated that “70 Cooperators received deed of transfer of 50 by 100 parcel of Land at Ogua.

“We all know how tough the economic situation is in our country today. Joining the co-operative that is well managed, focused, intentional, and co-operators-driven is the only way to be a partaker of what we are seeing here today.
“In spite of how huge this project was, we are still able to meet the needs of all members as and when due.We must thank the University Management and all co-operators for their co-operation in helping to put our co-operative on enviable height that is resilient and sustainable at anytime”, Ugbogbo said.
