Shortly after the performance, Onwenu took a drink of water and collapsed, prompting immediate medical attention.

Obi followed her to the hospital, where he witnessed the intense efforts of doctors and medical staff who worked tirelessly to save her life. Despite their best efforts, Onwenu passed away after over two hours of critical care. Obi expressed deep sorrow for the loss, extending his condolences to Onwenu’s children, family, friends, and the broader community.
