The Nigeria Economic Society (NES) Edo State Chapter has honored the former Depurty Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), Mrs. Maria Oligbi-Edeko with an award of Excellence .
Receiving the award, an elated Maria Oligbi-Edeko appreciated God and her constituents for making her a successful politician with the fear of God.
She equally thanked the Edo state Chapter of the Nigeria Economic Society (NES) for the honour and dedicated the award to the girl child .
According to her , she is the first female commissioner from her community in Esan North-East Constituency II. and appreciates the honour done to a woman in her person.
She took a swipe at politicians in the state and beyond calling on all to embrace and enthrone good governance in the interest of the people .
