
The immediate past Deputy Speaker of Edo House of Assembly(EDHA), Rt. Hon. (Mrs) Maria Oligbi-Edeko on Tuesday commissioned a 500 KVA transformer in the Efandion community in the Esan North-East local government area of Edo State as a way of giving back to the grassroot people.
She emphasized the critical role power supply plays in driving economic growth and community development.
Speaking during the commissioning, Mrs. Oligbi-Edeko , representing Esan North-East Constituency II , said empowering communities and businesses with electricity is key to any development.
She noted that the new transformer will empower businesses, improve livelihoods, and restore hope for residents leaving along Efandion Community Road after years of darkness.
She assured her constituents of continued support, promising more infrastructure projects and developmental initiatives across Esan North East Constituency II to improve quality of life.
“This transformer marks only the beginning. We will push forward with more projects to bring sustainable development, ensuring all wards enjoy access to essential services,” she said.
The atmosphere in Efandion Road was filled with excitement as the 500 KVA ABB transformer was officially commissioned, bringing much-needed power relief to a community long in darkness.
A resident who hailed her for the Transformer said, “This project is a clear demonstration of the lawmaker’s resolve to bring meaningful development to.our community, addressing fundamental infrastructure deficits, and improving living conditions in her constituency.”
