The Edo State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), led by Chairman, Prof Monday Igbafen, has expressed its condolences to Edo State Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa on the passing of his mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, who died on April 8, 2026, at the age of 95.
In a condolence letter made available to newsmen in Benin, the NLC acknowledged Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa’s long and impactful life, noting her legacy of love, wisdom, and service.
The council extended its deepest sympathies to the Idahosa family on behalf of all workers in Edo State, recognizing the profound void left by her passing.
The condolence letter reads, “The Edo State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of your beloved mother, Mama Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
“At 95 years, Mama lived a long and impactful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and service that will continue to inspire us, her family and the entire community.
“We recognize that her passing has created a profound void, one that words can hardly fill. On behalf of all comrades and workers in Edo State, we extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to you, the Idahosa family and the entire Idahosa dynasty.
