Igbinedion University Okada (IUO) on Friday held a one-day research lecture/workshop for staff and students, supported by the Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS).
Vice-Chancellor of Igbinedion University Okada, Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye encouraged participants to utilize the workshop to learn about research, innovation, and grant acquisition.
Prof. Ezemonye emphasized the importance of research as a problem-solving tool.
The workshop, organized by the College of Natural and Applied Sciences and titled “Research/Innovation and Grant Hunting: Grafting the Grant-Winning Proposal,” had in attendance , Prof. Charles Adetunji, a distinguished expert, who graced the occasion as the guest speaker, disseminating his insights and experiences on formulating persuasive grant proposals.
The Acting Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Prof. Maureen Okwu further enumerated the benefits of research to societal development.
Participants expressed their enthusiasm for the workshop, anticipating that the acquired knowledge would substantially refine their aptitude for conducting rigorous scholarly investigation and securing funding to propel their projects forward.
