Rt. Hon. Samson R. Osagie, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), has refuted rumors circulating on social media about his alleged plans to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Osagie dismissed the claims as unfounded and misleading.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Osagie asserted that these speculations are the product of “idle minds.”
He firmly stated his unwavering commitment to the APC, both presently and in the future.
Osagie clarified that his recent low profile in politics should not be misinterpreted as a lack of interest in the party or an indication of his departure from the political arena.
He emphasized that his current focus on professional development does not signify any abandonment of the APC.
“I wish to make it clear unequivocally that the speculation is the handiwork of idle minds. I have no intention of leaving the APC either now or in the foreseeable future.
“If I have remained calm and focused on my professional advancement without indicating any interest in any elective office, it does not mean that I have plans to quit the party or politics,” Osagie added.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the ruling APC, declaring, “I remain in the APC.”
