The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) has raised serious concerns regarding the escalating hardship faced by citizens in Edo State and Nigeria as a whole.
Dr. Samson Isibor, the National Chairman of CRPP, conveyed these concerns to reporters in Benin City, emphasizing the unprecedented severity of the current situation for Nigerians.
Dr. Isibor stated that the coalition has observed widespread lamentation throughout Edo State, highlighting the palpable distress among the populace.
He lamented the high levels of poverty in the state and country, stating that the situation has become unbearable, which led to the recent massive protest by youths and other citizens in Benin.
The CRPP criticized what they perceive as a lack of urgency and concern from Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
They noted the absence of noticeable initiatives from the government aimed at alleviating the suffering of the people, further exacerbating the challenges faced by Edo State residents.
He said,”Sadly, there is no visible effort from his government to ameliorate the suffering of our people. “
The CRPP called on Governor Monday Okpebholo to wake up to his responsibilities accusing the governor of ,”only concerned with how to win the 2027 presidential for the President and the so called local government election. “
