Professor Julius Omozuanvbo Ihonvbere, the esteemed Leader of the House of Representatives, has received another well-deserved honor. He was recently conferred with the Award for Exemplary Leadership, Selfless Service, and Inclusiveness, recognizing his outstanding contributions.
The award presentation took place on Saturday, February 14th, under the auspices of the UnMute Conference/Awards 2026, the New Focus for Development Initiative, and the Grace Graham Project.
Ihonvbere, the Iseghede of Owanland, was celebrated for his exceptional leadership qualities and commitment to selfless service.
As the keynote speaker at the conference, Professor Ihonvbere delivered a compelling address, drawing on his extensive knowledge as a top-rated Nigerian professor of international standing.
He dissected the systemic inequalities and injustices prevalent in Nigerian society, emphasizing the need for a collective effort to address these challenges head-on.
The event also featured the public presentation of the Book titled Sustained By Grace written by Grace Graham and conferment of awards to some deserving individuals.
Other special guests at the conference included the founding Executive Director of African Centre For Leadership, Strategy and Development, Dr. Otive Igbuzor; former Deputy Governor of Plateau State and erstwhile Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen; Chairman, Senate Committee on Women Affairs, Senator Ireti Kingibe, among several others.
