In commemoration of International Women’s Day, the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development on Thursday honoured Prof. Idia Nibokun Ize-Iyamu, Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), with the exceptional medical administrator of the year award.
The event, held at the Edo State Government House, recognized Professor Ize-Iyamu’s contributions to healthcare and her role as an inspiration to women in the state.
During the ceremony, Hon. Eugenia Abdallah, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, presented Professor Ize-Iyamu with the Exceptional Medical Administrator of the Year award.
The commissioner lauded Professor Ize-Iyamu as a successful career woman and a role model for girls and young women, highlighting her achievements in healthcare administration.
The Commissioner emphasized Professor Ize-Iyamu’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and exceptional contributions to effective healthcare administration. Her commitment to excellence, innovation, and quality service were also recognized as key factors in her success and positive impact on the community.
