The letter reads, “I write to formally notify you of my decision to withdraw from the PDP senatorial race for Edo Central, scheduled to hold on August 16, 2025.
“Since my arrival in Nigeria last Saturday, July 5th. 2025, I’ve had the opportunity to consult widely with our Party leaders, supporters of our vision for Esan Land, both in and outside of our state, and after careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that it’s not in my best interest and that of my family to run for the vacant Senate seat at this time.
” To this effect, I have decided to step aside now and throw my full support behind Hon. John Yakubu, whom I believe has the kind of vision I had, leadership qualities, and commitment to serve the people of Edo Central with integrity, passion and dedication. I remain a loyal Party member I had always been.”he said.
He urged all his supporters and delegates to rally behind Hon. John Ehibhatioman Yakubu, to ensure his victory on August 16, 2025.
