Three members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry have been abducted by unidentified gunmen in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday evening in the Kasemola area of the Ogbese community as the victims were returning from a Bible study session.
A message circulated by the church leadership confirmed the abduction and called for prayers.
“Good morning, beloved. Kindly pray along with us. Three of our members were kidnapped yesterday after bible study at Kasemola inside the Ogbese axis,” the church said.
The Ondo State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Olushola Ayanlade, confirmed the incident and disclosed that a search operation involving the police, Nigerian Army, and Amotekun Corps is underway.
Ayanlade, however, urged residents of the area to remain calm and assist the security agencies in the ongoing rescue efforts.
